We are currently recruiting Support Workers for adults with alcohol & drug dependency in Moseley, Birmingham, for those of you looking to work flexible hours also at night.
Our Client provide rehabilitation center for adults with alcohol & drug dependency.
The successful candidate for this role will be paid a competitive salary of £8.90 per hour plus many other generous benefits and you will be working flexible Hours.
Your responsibilities:
•Encourage and support service users in social, recreational and educational activities.
•Support service users in preparing meals and maintaining a hygienic environment.
•Receive visitors and answer telephone promptly and courteously.
•Promote independence and assist service users in daily living routines.
•Ensure highest standards of professional practice at work.
•Ensure all records are completed accurately and are legible.
•Participate in service user planning and review processes.
•Report immediately any changes or factors, which affect the wellbeing of, service users.
•Undertake any domestic cleaning duties necessary to enhance the wellbeing of residents.
As a carer:
·You must be able to recognise the early warning signs, you may be able to prevent behavioural outbursts.
·Ability to work independently is crucial.
Candidate must have:
•Clear DBS (preferably on the Update Service)
•Strong communication skills, a positive and caring attitude, and a willingness to work as part of a small, committed team
•Previous experience in a similar sector
•Preferably hold a valid UK driving licence
