Support Worker Mental Health - Kings Norton

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £7.60 - £8.07

We are currently recruiting Support workers in the Birmingham area, for those of you looking for more hours or flexibility!
Our Clients provide residential care for adults with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities, who have high levels of challenging behaviour.
The successful candidate for this role will be paid a competitive salary of between £8.07 per hour plus many other generous benefits and you will be working flexible Hours.

Your responsibilities:
• Encourage and support service users in social, recreational and educational activities.
• Support service users in preparing meals and maintaining a hygienic environment.
• Receive visitors and answer telephone promptly and courteously.
• Promote independence and assist service users in daily living routines.
• Ensure highest standards of professional practice at work.
• Ensure all records are completed accurately and are legible.
• Participate in service user planning and review processes.
• Report immediately any changes or factors, which affect the wellbeing of, service users.
• Undertake any domestic cleaning duties necessary to enhance the wellbeing of residents.


Candidate must have:
• Clear DBS (preferably on the Update Service)
• Strong communication skills, a positive and caring attitude, and a willingness to work as part of a small, committed team
• Preferably MAPPA/Maybo trained
• Previous experience as a Support worker/ Care worker
• A relevant social care qualification or training e.g. NVQ Health and Social Care Level 2/3 or equivalent
• Preferably hold a valid UK driving licence
