Senior Quality Engineer
West Yorkshire
£30,000 - £32,000 Per Annum (depending on experience)

The role will deal with quality related issues, being the direct link with internal and external customers providing practical and commonsense solutions. The applicants will need the following attributes/qualification(s) and experience to fulfil this demanding role;
Qualifications:
ONC/HNC in a Mechanical subject
Six Sigma Green or Black belt (not essential but preferred)
Continuous improvement methodology
Full passport
Full clean driving licence
Experience/Knowledge:
From a strong automotive or mechanical engineering back ground
Fishbone/Ishikawa diagram/process
Continuous improvement methodologies and projects
8D process
5Y’s
Standard operating procedure’s (structure and uses)
Process control
Flow diagrams
Control plans
Process Failure Mode and Affects Analysis
Computer literate – Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Access (data entry)
Attributes:

The role is a customer focused role looking after the customers interests at the same time as protecting the company from undue and unnecessary demands.
The success of this role will be measured against stringent KPIs so the successful candidate will need to be resourceful and proactive in order to assist in fulfilling the requirements.
The successful candidate will need to be a good organiser to ensure that each stage of the concerns process is completed on time to achieve customer 8D response times and needs.
This role will also support a supplier management process and provide cover for other quality engineers i.e. internal concerns, auditing etc.
As this is a customer and supplier facing role so there may be some travel within the UK and internationally required. The candidate should therefore have a full current passport and be able and willing to travel (sometimes at short notice).
The salary for this position is circa £30K - £32K dependent upon experience.
