Production Team Leader

A well-established and successful family-run sweets and confectionery manufacturing company, are currently looking for experienced Team Leaders to join their Production staff across 2 sites based in the Yorkshire area.

Job Role
•To successfully lead a team of production operatives across 2x stringently Hygiene Controlled manufacturing environment
•Motivate and assist people to work to the best of their ability
•Co-ordinate people, equipment, ingredients and product to optimise the efficiency of production
•Ensuring all products meet customer and company quality standards
•Enhancing productivity performance where possible
•Understanding Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure teams are working within set guidelines and conformance
•Accurate completion of all paperwork relating to quality, accidents, near misses and any incidents on site
•Implementation of Housekeeping and cleaning principles etc.
•Liaise with Shift Manager to deploy labour within each department to optimise the production line(s)
•Completion of attendance sheets and head counts in timely manner
Previous Experience required:
• A valid Food Hygiene Certificate
• A full UK Driving Licence and Own Transport will be a distinct advantage due to the two locations required to travel to
• Relevant experience leading / managing people in a production environment
• Computer Literacy
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to motivate and manage teams to deliver the level of performance required
• Experience of managing a small team/s

The shifts for this role are 6am - 2pm and 2pm – 10pm on a rotating basis with the occasional night shift to cover as required.
