A Secondary School based in Walsall is currently looking for a confident and inspirational teacher of History who has excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and strong classroom presence. The role starts from September 2016.
For this role you will need to:
* Have a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of Education.
* Ideally be a fully Qualified Teacher, with a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) although NQTs are welcome too.
* Have the ability to prepare, plan, deliver lessons and mark work to a high level.
* Have strong classroom management skills and be able to deal with challenging behaviour.
* Have a creative approach towards teaching & be able to use your own initiative / work as part of a team.
* Possess the passion for your subject & be able to teach History at KS3 & KS4. The ability to deliver your subject up to KS5 would be an advantage but is not compulsory.
* Have a valid DBS Certificate or be prepared to undergo application for a new DBS.
You will be tasked with creating modern and exciting lessons which incorporate the sorts of challenges pupils will realistically face in the technologically expanding world.

Although the school face the typical challenges of an inner city school, you will have the confidence in knowing that everything is in place to support you and all staff within the school effectively.
